Getting sober improved everything — until I faced an unexpected harsh truth

After 14 years, I went on my first sober date, feeling both excited and nervous. The night was great but after three dates, he wasn’t interested in a fourth. Sobriety has brought clarity, but it can also feel lonely. Two and a half years clean, I only dated one person in 2024. (Video: Getty Images)
