Czech gymnast Natálie Štíchová has tragically died at the age of 23 after falling from a height of around 80 meters while hiking on Mount Tegelberg in the German Alps.

The accident occurred while she was taking photos with the famous Neuschwanstein Castle in the background. According to reports, while trying to take a selfie, Natálie lost her balance.
A family friend told the Czech press that although it is not known whether she slipped or the ledge broke, the result was fatal.

Natálie, known for posting photos of herself on cliffs and trails on her Instagram, was accompanied by her boyfriend, David, and two friends, who witnessed the incident.
The accident happened on August 15, and after she was rescued and taken by helicopter to the hospital, doctors fought for six days to save her. However, last Wednesday (21), Natálie died due to irreversible brain damage.
On Sunday (25), Natálie’s mother, Michaela Hotová, was moved to tears when she posted a farewell message on her social media, expressing the love and pride she felt for her daughter.
Natálie’s farewell is scheduled for this Thursday (29) in Příbram, her hometown, in the Czech Republic. The gymnastics club where she began her career announced the ceremony in honor of the young woman, highlighting the affection and admiration that everyone felt for her.
