An Oklahoma mother was sentenced to seven life terms for negligence after her 11-year-old daughter gave birth following sexual abuse by the girl’s stepfather, who was married to the mother. The case took place in the United States.
The girl was rescued in August 2025, shortly after giving birth at home in Muskogee. The article did not identify the mother by name.
DNA tests established that the baby’s father was Dustin Walker, the girl’s stepfather. Walker confessed to the crime and was also sentenced to life in prison.
Prosecutors said the mother knew the girl was being abused. The child had received no prenatal care and was not being monitored by doctors, and the family’s home had no running water.
