Eight people, including a child, were killed in new Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip on Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the local Civil Defense. The strikes took place in Khan Yunis and Gaza City.
The Israel Defense Forces had not commented on the reported attacks as of the article’s publication. Israeli forces have continued carrying out strikes in Gaza despite a ceasefire declared as part of a peace agreement between Israel and Hamas, which the United States mediated in October 2025.
The three-part agreement is in its second phase, which calls for Israeli troops to withdraw from Gaza and Hamas to disarm. Hamas and Gaza’s government have agreed to surrender their weapons, according to the report, but Israeli forces remain in the Palestinian territory.
More than 74,000 people have been killed since the war began in October 2023, according to Gaza’s Hamas-run Health Ministry. The conflict began after Hamas attacked Israel, killing about 1,200 people and taking 251 others hostage.
